User Agreement
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. About this agreement
This User Agreement sets out what ilearn4u expects of each kind of user, and what you can expect of us. It works together with our Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy and our Safeguarding policy. By creating an account you agree to all of them. If something here conflicts with the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions apply.
2. For everyone
Whatever your role, you agree to:
- give accurate, current information and keep it up to date;
- keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account;
- use one account for yourself only, and never pretend to be someone else;
- respect the safeguarding rules — in particular, never try to contact a student outside the school-coordinated process, and never try to get around the platform's controls;
- not upload anything unlawful, harassing, discriminatory or misleading, or anything that could harm the platform or other users;
- not copy, scrape or bulk-download content, or use automated tools to access the platform without our written permission; and
- report any safety or conduct concern to ilearn4usupport@gmail.com promptly.
3. Students
- ilearn4u is for students aged 14 to 18 who attend a school registered on the platform. If you are under 18, we encourage you to talk through opportunities and applications with a parent or guardian.
- Your school must verify your account before you can apply. Only apply for opportunities you are genuinely interested in and eligible for.
- If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must also confirm they consent before you can apply. We email them a link to do this, and keep a record of when they did.
- Answer application questions honestly. Do not submit an application on behalf of someone else.
- You cannot message businesses or universities on ilearn4u, and they cannot message you. Your school counsellor coordinates everything after an application is submitted. If anyone tries to contact you outside the platform about a placement, tell your counsellor or a parent or guardian.
- Applying does not guarantee an offer. Organisations and schools make their own decisions.
- You can delete your account yourself in your account settings. Deleting it permanently deletes your profile and every application attached to it.
4. Parents and guardians
- A parent or guardian account is linked to a student only with the student's knowledge, using a code the student creates. Do not try to link to a student who has not agreed.
- Information you can see about a linked student is there to support them. Keep it confidential and do not share it publicly.
- Linking an account does not give you the ability to message organisations through ilearn4u.
5. Schools
- You confirm you are authorised to register and act for the school, and that the school details, website and ABN you provide are accurate.
- You will only verify students you reasonably believe are currently enrolled at your school.
- Student information on ilearn4u is confidential and may only be used to support that student's pathway. Handle it in line with your school's privacy obligations.
- The school remains responsible for its own duty-of-care processes for any placement — for example its work experience policy, risk assessment, insurance and parent/guardian consent. ilearn4u is a tool that helps coordinate these; it does not replace them.
- You are responsible for the staff you give access to and for paying the school subscription as described on the Pricing page.
6. Businesses and universities
- You confirm you are authorised to act for the organisation, and that its name, ABN and details are accurate.
- Everyone in your organisation who will have contact with students must hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card). You declare this when you register, you will keep your Blue Card details current, and you will give evidence to a student's school on request. You cannot publish opportunities until an ilearn4u administrator has approved your organisation, or while your details are missing or expired.
- ilearn4u records the details and declaration you give us and does not independently verify a Blue Card with the issuing authority. Schools remain responsible for their own due diligence before approving a placement.
- Listings must be genuine, accurate and lawful, and must meet your obligations under applicable workplace, work health and safety, anti-discrimination and (for apprenticeships and traineeships) training legislation, including the requirements that apply to young people.
- You must not contact students outside the school-coordinated process, ask them for personal information beyond what an application needs, or discourage them from involving their school or parents.
- Opportunity slots are charged as described on the Pricing page. Fees already paid are handled as set out in the Terms & Conditions.
7. How we check things
An ilearn4u administrator checks every business and university before its opportunities can be seen by students: its ABN on the Australian Business Register, and its Working with Children Check (Blue Card) using the Queensland Government's official online card check. If your ABN or Blue Card details change, or your Blue Card expires, your opportunities stop showing until we have checked again. We may also review schools (for example by checking an ABN or website) and ask for evidence of the details you have given us, and may remove a listing or limit an account while we do so.
8. Our role
ilearn4u introduces students, schools and organisations and provides tools to coordinate applications. We are not the employer, host or training provider for any placement, and we are not a party to any arrangement between a student, a school and an organisation. We do our best to keep the platform available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Emails from us
We will email you about your account, security and safety. Unless you opt out, we may also email you about product updates and improvements to ilearn4u; every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them on or off in your account settings, or by emailing us, at any time. Important notices — such as a change to these documents — are sent even if you have opted out of updates.
10. Suspension and ending your account
If you break this agreement, especially the safeguarding rules, we may suspend or close your account and, where appropriate, tell a student's school and the relevant authorities. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
11. Changes
If we make a material change to this agreement, the Terms or the Privacy Policy, we will ask you to review and accept the updated documents the next time you sign in, and we may also email you. We keep a record of when you accept each version.
12. Governing law and contact
This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Questions? Contact ilearn4usupport@gmail.com · Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
